Mobile parking platform

Leggja was the largest mobile parking solution in Iceland from 2010 until 2020 when it was aquired by the global parking giant EasyPark.

THE STORY

In 2010 I purchased 33% of the shares in a small parking solution, Leggja. The solution was then a phone-in solution where you dialled a certain number to pay for parking in the capital Reykjavik, Iceland.

I designed an app that was released in 2011 and after the launch of the app the customer base grew exponentially.

In 2017 the Leggja platform was purchased by Já and in 2019 it was eventually acquired by Easy Park, Europe’s largest parking solution. In 2020 the brand was discontinued and all of Leggja’s customers were be migrated to Easy Park’s solution.
